This week we say good-bye to The Drum Shoe I - the shoe that started it all.
Our first Drum Shoe turned out better than expected and thanks to all of you, we've exhausted our inventory of The Drum Shoe I, are being forced to discontinue it, but were able to create the new and improved Drum Shoe II...
It meant so much to us getting such positive feedback from everyone that tried them plus it was a huge honor to have so many great drummers try them out. Because of its success and all of your help, we were even able to make an updated design that has proven to be better than the first version: The Vratim Drum Shoe II!
We can't thank all of the drummers that have been there with us since the beginning for trying a product they weren't familiar with and probably didn't even think about. Thank you so much for all of your support!
We would not be where we are today with out all of you and without this shoe.
P.S. If you fell in love with some of the color options of The Drum Shoe I, don't worry, we're working on restocking our Drum Shoe II's and will have some new color options when that happens as well this summer..
Stoked to be adding another home state drummer to our roster:
Please welcome Matt Kohanowski of Dealey Plaza!
“I really think it's cool how a company like Vratim can see an artist's vision, big or small. I'm absolutely stoked to be a part of this family alongside other musicians who put their heart and soul into music the way I do.”
We're so honored to have Andrew Holzbaur of Oceano joining the Vratim Artist Family!
“I've always been extremely picky when it comes to what I wear on my feet while playing drums. Vratim has changed that completely! The comfortable satisfaction I felt the day I put on my pair of Vratim shoes has changed my drumming forever. They're a family of caring and dedicated people that I'm grateful to be a part of.”
They're currently on the road, so definitely be sure to catch them on one of the dates if you can!
Sorry we've been laying low the past few days - big things in the works..
In the meantime, we're stoked to have Christian Riggs of Set For Tomorrow!
"Over the years I have searched for the perfect shoe to benefit my playing style. Finally someone has hit the nail on the head! Vratim's drum shoes are comfortable, extremely light, and the grip is perfect. I personally do a lot of sliding with my feet. While the grip grabs onto the pedal tight, I'm still able to slide with ease and control. I'm so happy to put an end to my search and happy to be a part of the Vratim family!"
They've been working pretty hard and are definitely worth checking out.

We're excited to announce that Alex Camarena of Silent Planet is joining the Vratim Family!
“The Vratim Drum Shoe II is by far the best shoes I’ve ever worn while playing drums. Incredibly lightweight, super comfortable, and the phenomenal grip to your pedals is AWESOME. It’s rad that they look super cool as well. I will never wear anything else while I drum again.”
Definitely check them out if you haven't already and head out to one of their many tour dates they have this year!
We're honored to have Charlie Engen Music joining the Vratim family! He's a great instructor and session drummer on top of playing in his own band, Idealogy!
"The connection between my feet and my pedals is something that has always been of the utmost importance to me to be able to express my style to its fullest. Within the first few minutes of playing my Vratims I knew that I was playing in the best shoes I had ever played in. Between the lightweight design and traction of the sole, there isn't one foot technique I use that hasn't improved or felt more natural"
Definitely check out his Instagram - lots of great drum videos there.
Dominick Legotte's band Idle Minds just released a new song titled, "Beneath The Weather" and it's definitely worth a listen!
You can check out their premier on Metal Injection here.
Be sure to grab the single, recorded and produced by Jesse Avignone of AviStudios and mixed and mastered by Taylor Larson (Periphery, etc.) from their Bandcamp for FREE!
Katie Cole, Kortney Grinwis, and Jordyn Zubyk recently got together and filmed a drum cover of "Hey Baby" by No Doubt.
Together the trio have formed "The Drummer's Collective" which is "an organization to inspire women to do their thing and own their talent in this male dominated industry."
We think this is such an awesome concept and they're all amazing at what they do.
Check out the video below!
We're honored to announce that David Puckett of For Today has officially joined the Vratim Artist Family!
"Vratim have touched on something that few people in the drum community ever do. They have found a way to facilitate both comfort and control with their shoes, which most people can never find the balance of. People tend to sacrifice comfort for control, or the other way around, which always has a negative effect on your playing. Vratim have created an incredible shoe that fits so well to your fit, compliments your playing style, and gives you a ton of control!"
They'll be hitting the road a bunch over the next few months so definitely be sure to catch them!
